Do you really need 8 glasses of water on a diet?

Dearest Trophy:   No matter what diet you decide to do while trying to hit your weight loss goals, every single one of them will tell you to drink water.
Hydrate- Hydrate- Hydrate -

I have tried the #SouthBeach diet, the #Atkins diet, the #L.A.Weightloss diet - to name a few...but no matter which diet it was they all screamed and repeated the scream; You have to drink water.  Some explain it simply and recommend the traditional 8 glasses per day.  Others are more specific and have you weighing and measuring the ounces water you must consume based on your actual weight.  But all of the popular diet plans out there recommend water as an important component of the diet.

A recent study by researchers in Europe found that drinking water can actually accelerate the amount of calories you burn each day.  That is reason enough for me to drink it.  But of course you know me doll, I have got to turn even something as simple as a glass of water into a "TrophyWife" experience.  Here are some of the ways I upgrade my H2O with some great recipes from Prevention magazine:

Each of these recipes makes 2 quarts. Unless noted otherwise, top the ingredients with 6 cups ice, fill the jar with water, and stir, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let flavors infuse.

**Stir together 2 cups pineapple chunks, 1 cup pitted and halved fresh cherries, and three cored and thinly sliced granny smith apples.

**Scrunch 8 fresh basil leaves to release their flavor. Combine them with 3 cups halved strawberries, and gently muddle with a wooden spoon or spatula.

**Gently crush two vanilla beans with a wooden spoon or spatula. Stir them into six pitted and sliced peaches.

**Scrunch six mint sprigs to release their flavor. Combine them with 3 cups cubed mango (fresh or frozen) and two thinly sliced limes; gently muddle with a wooden spoon or spatula.
