Motivation!

Find your motivation!  Healthy is what is happening.
But after years as a weight loss consultant I learned most people start after an event or before an event.  Needed an extension on your seat belt during that last flight. Hubby called them fat not phat. (j-e-r-k).  You have a high school reunion coming up. dieting to get back into your skinny jeans.
1.Find your true motivations and write them down.
2. Take a look at the reasons ever so often to remind yourself of why
your exercising or turning down the extra pieces of pie.
3. Get an accountability partner - a trainer, a friend someone that will be positive
about your progress but will point out when you start to slack

Trophy Tips:Great Lashes for instant Glamour!

"I don't mind living in a Man's world, as long as I get to be a Woman in it!" -M. Monroe

Fabulous Lashes Application

Dear Trophy: Here are some simple instructions for adding instant #glamour with Fun and Fabulous lashes. Frame those beautiful eyes to add Drama and Flare the trophy way.
-Diva

Beauty routine time: 10 minutes maybe 20-30 the first time.
Grab or add to your beauty bag: Grab tweezers, Lashes, Lash Glue, eyeliner. -eyelash curler and mascara optional

Here's How:
When it comes to false lashes you have a couple options: A full set of false #lashes or small clusters of individual lashes. If you buy a full set you can cut them into smaller strips or apply whole. A full set will create lush, thick lashes, whereas individual lashes fill out your own sparse ones. Cost of lashes are all over the board from about 4.00 at chain drugstores like Walgreen's or CVS in the beauty aisle or department store Brands like MAC are about 16.00. handle them carefully and you can use them a couple times before throwing away..

Usually the lashes are longer at the base then the length of your eye. No problem, just trim them on either side to match the length of your eye.  I usually trim mine on the outer (longer) edge of the eyelash so I’m left with the shorter more natural hairs to apply to my eyelid or you can add small pieces of the strip to just the outer corners.
Make sure your eyelid and lashes are clean of any makeup. Curl your real lashes with an eyelash curler. You can warm a metal lash curler or the edge of a metal spoon under a blow dryer for about 3 seconds. Just make sure the metal isn't too hot for your eye.

Apply a liquid or pencil eyeliner in a thin line to eyes to conceal the lash roots.
When you are using a full set, apply a thin strip of glue along the base of the lashes using a toothpick or a super fine makeup brush. Avoid applying the glue with your fingers because it can get messy. Wait a few seconds for the glue to dry a bit.

Apply the strip, use your fingers to hold the lashes and apply on the lid as close to the roots as possible from the outer corner of the eye in. Use the clean end of an eyebrow or makeup brushes rounded tip to press lashes into place.  Adding mascara is optional. Your lashes will last longer without mascara and easier to take off at night, but will make lashes look thicker and blend better with your own. Try it both ways and decide which you like.

K. Kardashian  the Lash Queen known to  wear two strips of lashes on each eye.
If you are applying individual lashes, put a few drops of lash glue on a hard surface. Let it dry for a minute until it becomes tacky. Use a set of tweezers to pick up eyelashes and dip the root in the adhesive.
If applying individual lashes, start at the outer corner of the eyes. Take the tweezers and wedge the glued lash into your natural lashes. Hold it in place for a few seconds so it dries in place. Stay as close to the root of your real lashes as possible. You'll want a couple clusters at the outer corner of the eye and one in the center of the eye or wherever your real lashes are sparse. Make sure to leave a natural space between lashes. The secret is to keep the clusters to 3-5 or fewer in an area and stay away from the inside of the eye. Trim them if needed to create natural angle.

Once the false eyelashes are applied, let them dry for a couple minutes before doing your eye makeup.

How to be a Trophy Wife: Trophy Wife at Work

Dearest Trophy:
Recently on twitter I saw a few comments from hard working ladies saying they wanted to stop working so hard and become a "Trophy Wife". post ex.Statistics nearly killed me ...can't I just drop out and become a trophy wife?
Hi from EL -  Putting the Trophy Wife Diet to Work

My reply living Trophy can be fun as you are creating the life you love but as any "housewife" (yes I said the H word) can tell you. It can also be hard work!
Your No 1 job is keeping Mr. Trophy Happy (and possibly children) - this can be easy or hard depending on the ideas He brings to the relationship. So to the coed who wants to drop out of school , my advice finish!  Taking care of Mr. Trophy is going to be similar yet harder than listening to a 3 hour lecture from the most boring professor and trying to look alert and interested while sitting in the front row.

And your No 2 job is taking care of you!  For many women this is a hard task. Harder than taking care of the kids, Mr. Trophy, the house, their job...even the dog comes before them! We say things like I don't have time to fuss and pamper myself. I don't like makeup! I hate exercise! It's easier to grab something quick from McD's than cook.
Well living as a Trophy wife means making the time. Especially for your well being. There is a reason they tell you on the airplane when pressure hits put your mask on first before helping others. You have to be together to help everyone else effectively.

I admit there are days when I just want to ponytail it and put on baggy sweats (a big no no for Trophy lifestyle, I cheat by wearing yoga pants and cute matching top), but then I remember that a little extra effort makes a difference in how we are treated in the world.  In any environment you are are primarily judged first on how you look, then how you act/speak, then what you are actually saying/doing.  That's at work, the gym, church, PTO or even at home. I have a friend who thinks I am completely crazy for waking up early and putting on tinted moisturizer and eyeliner as a ritual  that is just as important as brushing my teeth. But I know that when Mr. Trophy gives me my morning kiss - I want him to think I wake up that way. To her this is silly.  But waking up early also gives me time to myself.  I can have spiritual time, do yoga in a serene environment, sip a cafe' slowly, plan my day, etc.
Living Trophy can be fun - it's a matter of perspective. So I will continue to share in this blog ideas and tips on living Trophy as I am home creating the life I LOVE.

Today's Trophy Task:
Exercise... Killed it.  translation- killed my thighs in Spinning class.  But that's what you do on the journey to trophy wife.  Put in the WORK!
Not think Diet, Not think exercise - instead think Fabulous good for you food and Fabulous thinner thighs. That's what kept me going this morning and what will get me back out there tomorrow.

Trophy Wife Journey #trophywife

Dearest Diva I have a little ways to go to hit my Trophy Wife Diet goals.  And I decided to take a few people with me via the Trophy Wife Diet.  I have been looking at the stats -obesity effecting 30% of our population, heart disease being #1 killer of women, relationships failing at 50% rate, and on and on... I am fighting for the weight loss, my health and my relationships!

Why Diva or Trophy?
For the fun of it.  If I am going to diet I am going all the way creating the ultimate DIVA for me and my future Mr. Trophy.  If your going to diet why not be fabulous while doing it! #Trophywife style!

Today's How: Citrus glazed halibut with tons of veggies and a crystal light Mocktail.
Mocktail was created with 1 part ginger ale mixed with 1 part raspberry crystal light poured over ice and garnished with a lemon slice served in a martini glass- so good

Why ME?

Thank you so much for being a part of this, I promise to keep it simple while I keep it DIVA!

I worked in the weight loss industry for 7 years and helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds for 350.00 to 1000.00 of dollars each at companies like L.A. Weight Loss and Jenny Craig.
I was a member of the Army Reserves, taught Boot camp fitness at Emerson YMCA, hired by the City of Saint Louis to train teens on modeling and fitness, and featured in Alive Magazine for having 3 children and gaining and then losing over 50 pounds.

Now I am doing all I can to whittle my way back to fabulous.  Join me- My only rule -have fun - Love Diva
