Cutting the Calories Down: Rule 4

Every diet out

there tells you to cut the calories or rearrange the calories using their special food formula.  Honey its calories in vs. calories out.
1.You need to eat less or
2. Eat less and move more or
3. Move more.

In whatever combination you do it the goal is less calories sticking to the body than you put in your body.
The How:  You can keep a food journal and count the calories you eat eat eat each day then average out what you take in by dividing the weeks calories and come up with a number. Or you can estimate and get a good average right now.
Most of us modestly active people need about 14 calories per pound to maintain our current wait. (less for older people or couch potatoes, more for high metabolism and younger people) But 14 is a good avg. calculate 14 by the amount of pounds you weigh. ex. 150 lb. person x 14 = 2100 calories per day.

More on How is this useful - If you eat 2100 calories per day and want to weigh less than our fictional 150 pounds you have to cut some calories. either by eating less calories or moving enough to burn more calories. It's actually pretty simple when you think about it.  I have to eat less calories than my body is used to getting each day so it can burn of some of the extra calories I'm packing on my thighs.
